After years of struggling to find clean beauty products that wouldn't cause redness and other weird reactions on my sensitive skin, I decided to learn how to create my own natural skincare ritual.
As a big greenie, wastefulness has always been a big no-no and finding gentle skincare that didn't come in layers and layers of unnecessary packaging and single-use plastic was quite a grind.
How hard could it be to find bath and body essentials that are both made for sensitive skin and earth-friendly? So why not do both and have the best of two worlds?
Coming from a fourth generation of female entrepreneurs who invested their hearts into their creative passion, starting Ujala was like finally unearthing my ancestral vocation.
Things evolved naturally, and Ujala came into being as a healing practice. For me, for you, for the planet.

Many synthetic and chemical ingredients are commonly added to high street personal care products to better their appearance, feel, shelf life, or simply to increase profit.
The truth is many of these chemical ingredients weren't created for daily use on human skin, and they can become endocrine disruptors that cause hormonal imbalance and environmental pollutants that damage our ecosystems.
Unfortunately, nasty ingredients like PEGs, parabens, phthalates, sulphates and silicones are everywhere in your bathroom essentials, mostly because big businesses have placed profits before people.

We partner with Australia Post to get your Ujala to your home as quickly and safely as possible.

International Shipping
At this moment we only ship internationally to the United States and New Zealand on orders over $80, via Australia Post's standard international post.
Estimated timeframes vary between 7 - 28 days, depending on your location.
All US and NZ orders over $80 have a flat shipping rate of $25.
Please note that orders shipped outside Australia may be subject to taxes, duties and other fees by the destination country. The recipient is responsible for these fees.
Returns & refunds
We want you to be completely satisfied with your online purchase, however, due to the nature of our products, we can not accept returns due to change of mind.
If your order arrives damaged or faulty, however, please contact us to arrange a refund or replacement.
To qualify for a refund or replacement:
- The damaged/faulty item must be returned within 30 days of purchase, in the original packaging, unused and unopened, together with original proof of purchase.
RETURNS & EXCHANGES POLICY - GENERAL
- Items must be returned in original condition, unused and unaltered.
- Gift Wrapping is non-refundable.
- If you have received a Gift With Purchase, the gift must also be returned otherwise the value of the gift will be deducted from your refund.

HOW DO I RETURN AN ITEM
To return an item, please email us.
Our returns team will reply with your reference number within two business days, and will also provide you with the address to send your return to.
Please Note:
- Your reference number must be clearly marked on the front of your returned parcel. If our warehouse cannot identify this number on the outside of your parcel it may be returned to you.
- For a refund, your return must be in original condition, unaltered and unused.
Upon receipt of the items, they will undergo a quality review and once cleared, you will receive a refund for the purchase price (excluding original shipping cost) directly to the original method of payment used for purchase. We endeavour to process refunds as soon as they are received but please allow up to 5 business days for returns to be processed. You will receive an email notification of the status of your refund once finalised.
We do not refund initial shipping charges for items returned. Ujala Skincare is not liable for the loss of items being returned. We recommend using a traceable delivery method and taking note of your tracking number.
WHAT IF MY ITEM IS FAULTY?
We're so sorry if an item you received is not in perfect condition. Please follow the returns process and attach a photo of the fault to the returns email. We will meet our obligations under the Australian Consumer Law or similar legislation which may include replacing the item if the stock is available or giving you a refund upon receiving your faulty item back.
WHAT IF I RECEIVED AN INCORRECT ITEM?
If you have received an item you did not order, please email us so we can resolve this for you.
WHAT IF MY ITEM GOES MISSING?
Please note that we use Australia Post services, all our parcels are tracked and we receive updates and confirmation of delivery. Upon dispatch, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with the tracking number, so you can track your order.
In the rare instance that your order has gone missing, please email us so we can resolve this for you.
DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR SHIPPING MY RETURN?
Once you have contacted our team and your return has been approved, we will email you the shipping labels to return your damaged/faulty items.
Please note: we do not accept International Returns.
